Ok long story short i took the accord from my sister because she destroyed the gear shift by pulling out the white piece from the selector and destroying the spring inside. I bought a whole different gear shift assembly from the junkyard and now im trying to install it but i ran into a problem while trying to remove the old gear shift. The shift wire seems to be holding on to the the gear shifter by this plastic piece. Any suggestions?
