How do I remove the cable from the back of the gas pedal?
I've googled. Checked youtube. Read old honda-tech threads... and nothing shows or describes how to remove this cable. All of the search results here simply say "look at it and remove it." Well, I've looked at it.. and I can't remove it. The only descriptions I found were for newer cars with a simple plastic clip to pull out. Mine doesn't look like those.
I've already removed it from the throttle body end under the hood, so it's slack - well, it was slack anyways.. it's almost broken right through.
Here's what I see up under the dash:

What do I have to do to get the cable out?
This whole thing looks like it's spring loaded and I don't want to go prying on it or ripping it apart if it's not supposed to come apart or if it's going to cause it to blow apart.
I found this exploded view on google:

What do I have to take apart to get the cable out with what tools & process?

..got it figured out. Well, someone else came and showed me lol.
I assumed that whole thing had to be disassembled somehow.. nope, turns out you just press on the silver metal tab and compress the spring and it opens up and releases the cable. NOW it looks simple once I know.. but it sure was frustrating not being able to find any instructions online besides "look at it, it's self explanatory," kind of posts. Those aren't very helpful. Obviously if others have asked then it isn't self explanatory.. but whatever, it's done now and I'll pick up a new cable from a Honda dealership tomorrow and throw it in in 5 mins.

Just installed the new cable and when I started it up it revved pretty good.. too tight, loosened it off and made sure the throttle wasn't being actuated. Took it for a quick test drive and the throttle seems to be sticking a little.. throttle response is amazing compared to before.. but when I let off the gas it seems to still be open. I had to actually pull up on the pedal with my foot to get it to return to idle.
Is this normal for a new cable to be a little sticky until it's used to sliding back and forth?
