YEAH i did THAT!!! kinda low on $$, so i just cut my Akimoto Racing intake, just enough to make it a short ram! I have a B16 intake manifold but its pretty much the same shape. i just put a piece of tape around it so i had some sence of a straight line and cut it with a hack saw.

Oh yeah, there was a hose for the crank case breather that connected to the section that i cut off, so i just bought one of those crank case breathers from K&N and it works fine...

so wait a sec, people with GSRs that end up getting a skunk2 manifold have to get an intake for the itr/b16?

if so, that would suck, because it was hard to find my iceman.

i don't need to have an iceman, it's just that i didn't want to spend so much on comptech, and then the difference between aem being metal while iceman is plastic. the iceman stays really cool, plus has a tapered design. i haven't seen any dynos between the 2 but i've HEARD that iceman makes more power.

plus i got a really good deal on my iceman.

i dont know about an aftermarket intake but i used the stock gsr intake arm and filter before i got an aem itr. u have to remove the box and kinda angle the intake arm down, but it'll clear the hood. ghetto-fab

Can two other people confirm this statement? If its true, then this totally freaking sucks. I thought Skunk2 would make the effort too keep the TB placement the same so all intakes would work with it. Someone please confirm this cuz I'm about to put down a chunk of change for one....

Actually I have the s2 im and i still have my aem intake..It works just fine. Just had to twist it, to make it work.. Dont waste the money on switching over, an intake is just an intake..

ITR is the way to go. Sell the Iceman and use the money to buy another intake. Do it right the first time and save yourself $ in the long run.

I am changing over to s2 mani in the next week. IM me if anyone is interested in my iceman CAI. It has a new filter and is in perfect condition.

As for the intake, get a itr one, or one meant for the itr, its wider in diameter than a b16.
