Default F20B T2T4 build and swap into 98 Acura CL

OK, I've been a longtime lurker; using H-T to source info for several years. This is my 3rd real build -- but is a swap lacking real info, plenty of speculation, but few people who have been involved in a detailed and professional build of an F20B. I'm talking tear down, rebuild, swap done in a machine shop with complete and total access.

I picked up the F20B, T2T4 with harness and ECU two weeks ago from JDM Florida in Orlando. Plan was originally to port head to the max and just add bolt-ons to stay OBD2B; my builder/machinist, owner of Dover Cylinder Head in Orlando, quickly decided it was worth it to do more.

With a lot of speculation online about this motor, I wasn't 100% sure what some of the internals would be like. Only knew what this motor did in NTCC in 97: won w high revs and solid power.

The head is aggressively ported from Honda; the throttle body is large at well over 60mm and the type S cams (JDM) really are super aggressive. Intake valves are confirmed 34mm -- 1mm smaller than H22. The SIR-T version (manual) utilizes dual valve springs.

The block is a work of art. B-series rod journal size on the crank; rods are very similar to k20 rods, just beefier. (No joke a slimmer version of short block chevy rods -- pics later to prove). Rod bolt is cap type (better) from an F23A1. Pistons use a B18 pin size and have a wicked dome on them to get that 11:1 compression.

Rod stroke ratio is better than a GSR, so yes, revving high will not be an issue.

We are building for 12:1 compression with spray (only a 75 shot). Have had all the parts for a few days now to finish the build. My only concern is the torque these trannys can take. Spoke with a guy who went through a dozen of them and says problems happen around 350 ft/lbs.

Hopefully the F20B will be reassembled this coming week, and swapped the following Monday and Tuesday (my weekend) w a tune on Monday (OBD1 P28, deleted butterflies with spacer.

Can I post pics from my phone?... Have dozens so far.

If anyone's got info or knowledge of this swap it's always appreciated.
