Default D16Y8-T into 89' LX Sedan, Wiring questions

Hello, I built a d16y8-T that I am swapping into my 89' EF sedan but had some questions on wiring in regards to the main engine harness. I have the original D15b2 DPFI harness and I have acquired a 90' CRX Si MPFI harness w/ resistor box as well. The car has not yet been converted to MPFI as I originally pulled everything out in one sling (D15b2, trans, and harness).

My main question and concern is will it be possible to just use the CRX harness seeing it already has the pigtails and resistor box for my injectors & many of the sensor location wiring is correct in comparison to the new d16y8 sensor locations? It flat out seems it would just be easier to place in.

Does the car need to be converted to MPFI at the ECU (P28 w/ Hondata) even with an MPFI harness? AND THE BIG QUESTION, should I just convert the original harness to MPFI and use that? - And if so what of the knock sensor and misc pigtails I am missing?
