I know there is a DIY on the help section but it's not for the stock cluster on my 1997 HX. Anyone know the exact amount of bulbs needed for replacing every single one? CEL, brights, gas light, etc etc. I read it was one 194 and four 74's but, then I read three 194's and four 74's? Anyone know exactly how many I need?

 

You know what, while I'm at it I might as well ask this. What do I need for the climate control? I plan on replacing that as well at some point and might as well not wasting everyones time coming back and making another thread haha.

 

I think the climate control you'll have to solder them. Thats custom work.

My little brother is good with a soldering gun so I can just have him do it. I don't see the smaller bulb size on that website, does the stock dash really only have 194's?

 

Because its not sold for consumer use, you have to "custom". You'll need to buy the bulbs, or if you prefer get L.E.Ds, and sold them in.

 

So if I want to replace anything other then the 194's I'll have to solder them in?

 

You have to be specific dude, what do you mean by "replace anything other than the 194's"? Its true that they don't list the bulbs but if I had to guess its a size 74. Have you taken one apart and pulled the bulb out?

edit: probably take the bulb to autozone or whatever you have available in your area and purchase the bulb.

 

It's in the shop right now getting my VX tranny put in. I'll pull it out and take a look when I get it back. I apologize for confusing you xD. And yea I do believe they are 74's.

I just wanted to update everyone, I managed to convert my entire cluster to LED's with no soldering required. It requires one 194 bulb and 8 #74 bulbs. I Swapped out all the back lighting and the turn signal bulbs. You can also do the CEL, ABS, BRAKE etc etc but that will require more work as the color is on the lens itself, not the bulb. Below is the link to the #74's I used. I also put a #194 in my dome light and it worked good.

No idea, when I install my LED straps and kill-switch I'll have a better look on how I can do it and where I need to solder.
