Hey! I know an eg coupe is 92-95. And is considered an ej1. But what's an ej2? And what's the difference?

what's the difference between a dx coupe and an ex coupe? An ex coupe is an eg coupe right? And an eg/ex coupe is also considered EJ1/2?

I'm a little confused.

The early EJ models are 92-95, there were later EJ models in 96-00 as well.. EG is JDM hatch, Ferio Sedan, and 93-97 Del Sol CRX..

Ej1: D16Z6 SOHC Vtec EX coupe, power doors, locks, p/s, color matched mirrors, sunroof, some have abs, short geared tranny
Ej2: D15B7 SOHC non-Vtec Dx coupe, no power options, no power steering, black side mirrors, no sunroof, long geared tranny

EJ2 is the DX Coupe. Basically, lower trim version.

Default dx vs ex

EG is slang for 5th generation civic, 92->95.

the ej1 is a 92-95 EX coupe, ej2 is 92-95 DX coupe. The EX comes standard with power windows, power locks, sunroof, vtec 1.6, clock, cruise control, lots of creature comforts. The DX weighs a bit less.

DX is also typically 1.5 liter non vtec economy motor with taller gear ratio transmissions.

scratch that, my error, buddies always made me think the slang was for 3 door mainly but looking it up, even some del sols had chassis code EG.

^^ Wow, that list is bad. Lots of mistakes on it. Example: EH3 is only 93-95? WRONG.

I know exactly what I'm saying I own both of them and IV read alot about both of em. You sound like Tony telling me "you cant jswap a civic w/ a j32a3 because it doesn't have a throttle cable" lol
