removing the old gasket en cleaning/sanding it up
Hi guys
I have to put my IM/throttle (gasket) and IM/engine (gasket)
the gaskets i put back are OEM honda
I removed the old gasket en sanded it a little bit to clean the surface.
but how smooth has the surface has to be before i put the thortle back on?
this is also for the gasket where the im connects to engine ?
Thnk you guys

You shouldn't have sanded it in the first place. Acetone and a steady hand with a razor blade works wonders for removing gaskets. They also make roloc discs that are specificly designed for aluminum that should be used before anything actually abrasive. In any event it doesn't have to be perfectly smooth, but rather flat. Minor imperfections will be taken up by the gasket material.
im just picturing some 80 grit all over the place lol.
i usually use brake cleaner and a razor blade for that stuff. once the gasket material is off ill hit it quick with grey scotchbrite. i use that **** on everything aluminum its great. not too abrasive but it cleans it up nice

You can remove the studs. Put one nut on the stud. Put another nut on also. Tighten the outside nut with a 10mm socket while holding the inner nut with a 10mm box wrench. When they are tight against each other, loosen the inner nut and it will pull the stud out.
