What should i do with my accord
I picked up a 1997 accord 2dr special edition. Its a 2.2 non vtec, auto transmission. It has over 230k, perfect body, great interior. The trans is slipping, but it still runs and drives. I only paid 400 for the car, so that leaves me with some money to spend. My questions for you guys are, what should i do? lol. I wanted to do a full h22 swap with 5 speed, from a 96 or 97 prelude. I know i need a engine, trans, euc, harness, different mount for transmission, and i think exhaust work. Not to mention, my car is an auto, so i would need a lot of other stuff as well lol. Should i get a complete donor car, or should i just fix it or flip it as is? Will doing all the work of the swap and converting it to manual be wroth it in the end? Your thoughts and options would help alot. Thanks
Save your money, it's not really worth dumping it into that car IMO. I assume it's your only car and is your daily driver.
Project cars + daily drivers don't generally mix.

change the trans fluid. 2.5 ltrs.
H22 swap is up to you. most people are happy with it. im happy with my F22B1 fast enuff without the MPG of a H22. but if u like to get dirty why not swap a 5 speed and custom pedals etc.

and why not? doner car for parts, this doesnt sound like a beater, they are completely different with the 5 speed,it's not a major project swapping to a five speed, considering you are using all factory parts
