Default Cruise Control

'94 Civic DX, 5spd manual, 200K miles, in process of putting it back together after replacing head gasket. Car's not rusted bad and I expect to get at least another 100k on it. Does anyone know if I were to get a cruise control module off a salvage yard car for mine, does it matter if it comes off a car that had a manual or automatic transmission?? Is there any difference on cruise control installation/operation on a car with manual tranny vs. automatic trans??

Why do you need a new module if you are replacing head gasket?

There's a Cruise Control DIY link on this page too.

No known difference between AT and MT cruise brains. If I had to speculate on possible causes for the different part numbers, it would be regarding how it monitors RPMs and adjusts acceleration/deceleration. For you the driver, there should be negligible difference.

The car is a DX and never had it. I need to add it for long hauls.

WOW, awesome response!!! After just glancing at all the photos (and I will spend more time looking at the entire process) my first thought is to just buy an aftermarket one. It would likely save me 15 to 30 hrs of labor as I work slow when doing jobs I've never done before. Thx Allot!
