K24a2 swap in RSX Type S Problem
Hey everyone,
I did a k24a2 (05 tsx motor) swap in my 2002 rsx type s and it isn't running right. I
have kpro, headers, intake, running a rsx type s throttle body with a blox adapter plate. I am also running the rbb intake manifold with the throttle body, I also swap out the sensor that is necessary from my type s to my k24a2. My problem is that it idles at 1.5k and would not let me rev pass 3k and also when I try to press the gas paddle normally it would bog and die. I am so lost at the moments and I've been playing around with kpro but still a no go. Any advice that can help, also I've search and search and still no answer. Thanks in advance.

DC5nub I am running the type s throttle cable on the throttle body took off the cable for cruise control and tony i did that bleed the coolant.
1st...pull the cai and have a friend press down on the gas peddle....does the butter fly go from full closed to full open?.......
2nd....what did you do with the cold start valve? I have seen people try to run without these and it does not work.
3rd...check all you intake gaskets....did you get all the bolts in under the intake mani?......leave a bolt out and you have a huge vacume leak.

My butterfly on my tb does open all the way so no issue there, the cold start valve what is that? unsure where it is located, also I never took off the im from the motor so there shouldn't be any loose bolts or so. Type-Spaz I'm pretty sure I hook up the tps and map sensor right, tps is red/blk grn/yel yel/blu and the map is grn/red yel/red grn/wht. I also read about swaping the two wires as in abc to cab etc? or is it only for the base model? But I will double check it again. I will keep you guys updated to see how it goes.
Haven't got time to check up on my car so no answer yet. Lol Type Spaz only if your willing to drive to western wisconsin around the la crosse area, I'll give buy you a case of beer and cookies haha.
So I've went to check on my car the throttle body doesn't open all the way when the car is on and also once I hook up kpro to the car when its running to see how are things it ends up making the car chug. I am so clueless right now and type spaz if you are serious I am willing to pay you to come help me fix my car message me and we can work things out. Thanks.

Could you shoot a video of your car, setup and it running/idling/bogging

So this is how my car runs sorry I couldn't get any video on my engine bay because I was in a rush to get to work. I will do so this upcoming weekend. Also quality is pretty bad because my phone sucks.

I will take another clip of my car again. Any suggestion or kpro map guidance since I'm only click and check things off on kpro base on a diy swap by rick1024. Thanks
I have a similar swap in an '06 with no problems. High idle problems are usually caused by a vacuum leak, with the engine at idle spray a combustible solvent around suspect areas, T/B, I/M, hoses etc. Data log your MAP sensor and TPS sensor while at idle, also cailbrate the TPS in KPRO. TPS should read 0% and increase smoothly as you depress the throttle to 100 %. MAP should read about 18-20 inhg at idle and reach 0 inhg as you blip the throttle. I use carb cleaner for testing when searching for leaks. If your interested I can walk you through this via phone, I have extensive experience w/KPRO.
Turbokraft thanks for the offer but I probably wouldn't have time to talk to you and get a walk through, since I'm constantly working and going to school. Anyone that wants to help me make drive-able I am willing to pay.
