Default Seat position 2014 Civic

I am considering purchasing a new Civic Si but don't like the way the seat sits. I adjusted it and the steering wheel and feel like I was sitting on top of the dash and steering wheel.

Is there an alternate seat bracket out there for a factory seat that allows it to sit lower?

There is an adjustment handle on the side of the seat that will allow you to go up or down.

I have mine all the way down and it's decent enough for me till I get some new Recaro's in with a lower bracket.

If it doesn't go lower then what you would like you could always maybe get the bracket customized for you by a shop. I don't know of any for the OEM seat... maybe they do?

I know about the adjustment on the factory seat but would like to go about an inch lower.

I was wondering if there is a rail out there that would allow me to do that with the factory seat.

I mean the ones that fit the Recaro' and Bride seats I would assume should work as the bolt pattern should be the same... Some people use the OEM rails with Recaro seat.

You can search for some rails. I know buddy club made lower seating rails maybe send them an email and see if they can confirm if it will work with OEM seats.

I've looked into this on the 06-11 Si and found that the design of the seat prevents it sitting any lower (no aftermarket brackets to lower the seat). I've gotten used to the gangster lean with the oem seat. I wish the sunroof was optional so there was more headroom.

Buy a 4 door - it has more headroom. The way the roof arches back to the C-pillar gives more clearance. I couldn't drive a 2-door if I wanted to even with the gangster lean. The 4-door gave me just enough clearance to barely fit my fingers above my head while still being able to reach the steering wheel. I do agree on the sunroof as an option though, it is supposed to be a "performance car".

The 'performance car' comes with grand touring tires, which I think isn't helping the reviews. Of course it sucks during the reviews. Its little things like this seating position that is hurting the car. (and I know about the performance tire option. Those tires suck, too)

Regardless, I hope to strike a deal this weekend with the local stealership.

Thanks for the info vladd.
