I recently ahd a problem where my engine would cut out while driving and sometimes would come back on ,but often it would stop and I would have to pull over and wait a while before it would start again This started happening more frenquently. Finally one day asI was cutting out on the freeway the engine light came on and this car has a diagnostic built-in. The diagnostic said the Oxygen sensor was at fault. I had to have it toed to my house. When my friend and I checked it out we sprayed starter fluid on the engine. It would start for a few seconds and then stall. When we checked the fuel pump we heard no sound. So we replaced the fuel pump. The car started after a minute or two and ran good for a day or two after that it started to stall when I slowed down coming to a stop.I put my old platinum sparkplugs back in (as we hade changed them) It started to run at idle ,but after that it started to stall both when I accelorated and when I stopped. Twice I have had to replace the distributor as one time some of the internal componets melted. The second time the inside parts of the distributor where covered with white corrosion (like you get on your battery terminals. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

 

sounds like the fuel system is restricted, replace the fuel filter and. clean the small. strainers in. each injector, also. check all your grounds that they are making good contact and are tight, aslo replacing the main relay by the hood release is good, they tend to go out alot so. lifetime warranty is a must on that part, and also dying after the motor has a chance to really heat up sounds like the icm, they work fine cool, but ince they get warm or. hot will cause interment cutout
