Default Camshaft and Head torque settings.

Hi Guys.
I have a 1997 Honda Ballade 1500 sohc. I recently took the head of and polished the ports and sent the camshaft to be cut. After all was done the car had almost no power at low revs. That has made the car almost undriveable. The car feels as if its down on power. Higher up in rev range it pulls better but not what I expected for cam and gas-flow. I decided to get a stock camshaft again but the problem now it how do I know the second hand cam I want to buy is stock and the same than my original one. And lastly does anyone know what the torque settings are for the head bolts.

Thanks!

What motor is in your 6th generation Honda Civic from Africa?

Wondering if it's the equivalent to the D15B8 or D15B7 or a JDM D15B vtec.

Simply does your 1.5L have 12 valves or 16 valves? If 16, does your car have vtec?

What is the code stamp on the block? Is it D15B7?

D15Z4. SFI, 16 valve non-VTEC.

So would that follow the same torque specs as the USDM market D series 1.5L motor?

I don't believe I've seen any other FSM through google searches other than USDM ones. Even though I did come across a 6th gen EURO manual for the Aerodeck.

I found this where they claim the D15Z4, D16A6 is all like the ZC.

They have the torque sequence and say the torque specs for the head bolts is 22 ft-lbs then 57 ft-lbs which if I recall is 8 ft-lbs more than the USDM 1.5L.

Do not. That's the thing that is most likely to change from motor to motor.

In example, you can put a D16A6 cam into a D15B7 motor but you have to get the ECU chipped and then do a tune for it to run properly and see any improvement on the more aggressive cam lobes of the D16A6 cam.

It fits but different lobe profiles.
