so, go to start the rex today and no start. pump isnt priming. its been starting hard the last few weeks. ill try to cover all ive done so far. i dropped the tank and put power to pump and the pump works. main relay is clicking, i removed and looked at it it looks new, no bad solder. did the tests out of the haynes manual for it applying voltage and checking for various spots of continuity it passed. there doesnt seem to be voltage at the fuel pump connector from the ecu side. the cel light comes on and goes out on key on like normal. thermostat ground is good. not sure where to go next for tryin to get this thing to prime. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

 

usually the relay...it just happened to be working when you diagnosed...but when it gets hot it fails...just replace relay as they are notorious for failing...our cars are pretty old so no shocker that the relays fail.

 

ill try that and report back pass or fail. thanks.

 

Turned out to be bad wiring at the kill switch.
