Default Proper way to store Vehicle for the Winter

Did a search and didn't come up with anything. I'm new to this whole new storage thing, so just wondering what I should do to protect my car for the harsh winter of Canada. I know that I'm suppose to change the oil and top up the fuel and other fuids, done that. My main concern is should I put my car on stands. I've heard lots of different opinions and not sure what to make of it. I have Tein HA's so I want to make sure that I do the right thing and not wreck them.

I have to park it outside so I don't plan on starting the car until next spring because it's just a hassle to take off the cover and put the battery back in every week or so, when it's freakin freezing outside.

Can anyone suggest what to do? Thanx!

putting a car on stands is best for the tires, but leaves you as easy prey to thieves... so think hard

Actually, I'm more concerned about the suspension themselves. I have stock steelies on the car right now with the crappy factory tires, so I don't really care if I get a flat spot on them, since I'm gonna put my aftermarket wheels on it in the spring.

What do you guys think is the best thing to do for the Tein HA's. I've heard that not having any load on the suspension isn't good for and I've also heard the opposite.
