Hello Honda-tech, I have a noob question and was wondering if you guys can help answer it for me. I have a Moroso oil pan on my ITR and for some reason very time I do an oil change and put 4.5 quarts like what the manual say, my dip stick always reads above the second dotted hole. My question is, is the moroso oil pan smaller than the stock one and is it still ok to keep putting 4.5 quarts in or what is the correct amount I should be putting in. Thanks for your help.

The owners manual states 4.2 quarts for the B18c1, B18c5 engines. 4 quarts with my Moroso pan gets me right where it needs to be. 4.5 quarts is too much, put a little less in

 

So basically the Moroso pan is a little smaller than the stock pan, therefore takes less oil?
