Accord Ex will not start. One click. No turning over.
Hello,
I am new to the forum, and I've been having an issue with my 2000 Honda Accord ex. 4 cylinder. The car has been having some issues starting for the past few months. After I had taken it to Monroe (horrible idea) that had explained that they were not sure what was wrong but said it may have a bad starter. So I decided to YouTube starter replacements and preformed a replacement myself. After installing the starter (and before tightening the battery terminals, I had them resting on the battery the car started!) So I had turned the car off and tightened the terminals. After doing so I went to turn the car on for a test drive and had no luck starting. The cars lights work, and battery has been tested and are considered in perfect working order. I'm stumped. The car will click (once) in the 3rd starting position, and the radio will turn off. The car will not turn over. Any ideas?

Sounds like a short or bad fuse or relay did you check both fuse boxes? One under the hood and the one inside near the driver side door?
I would make doubly sure, your battery connections are clean. Both the battery posts, and inside the terminals. Use a wire brush until they shine. Then add a little conductive grease. I cant tell you how many times this problem has bitten people.
You only can access the interior fusebox if you have the Driver side door open there should be on the side of dash. I hope this helps!
