Default O2 sensor wiring

Quick question, I am wiring my o2 sensor. I have two blacks, one white and one green. All colors match up but my question is are both blacks for the same thing? Like in other words, there is no way I can mix em up?

Actually. On the s2 side I have 2 whites, one black and one gray. This is primary by the way. On the o2 sensor side I have one green, one white, two blacks.

Reason I ask is because when I did both my primary and secondary 02 sensors, both were plug n play. have you read this thread? http://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/1029...placement-diy/

Those are the heater wires (e..g, the two whites and the two blacks). On the connectors, the terminal no. 4 wire is the heater control wire from the PCM and the terminal no. 3 wire is the fused battery power coming from the under-dash fuse box when in ON or START.

The O2 sensor uses a resistor as a heater. Since the resistor is not directional in the flow of current, even if you switched the heater wires at the O2 sensor, it will still work.

Primary and secondary regular O2 sensors heater wires are same principal.

Okay, so to make it simple. Can you tell me which color to connect to which one? Because the moment I turned on the car, it threw a CEL for the o2.

Thanks.

Since one side of the wires are not stock wiring (i.e., the 2 whites, one black, and one gray), you should probably use this guide to match them up:

http://www.lambdasensor.com/main/mcolours.htm

The S2000 wiring on the engine harness side connector should be terminal no. 1 (white), terminal no. 2 (Grn/Yel), terminal no. 3 (Blk/Yel), and terminal no. 4 (Blk/Wht).

So since I have the two heater wires, there really isn't a way that I can mix them up right? Whichever way will be fine? Or will it throw a code and can I just switch the two whites? Or two blacks.

The engine harness connector wires:

Terminal no. 1 (White) - Primary Heated O2 sensor input (PCM/ECM)
Terminal no. 2 (Grn/Yel) - Sensor Ground (PCM/ECM)
Terminal no. 3 (Blk/Yel) - Ignition Power in ON or START
Terminal no. 4 (Blk/Wht) - Heater Control (PCM/ECM)

Terminal no. 3 and 4 wires are the heater wires.
