Smashed into a curb- need some help
So two nights ago, I got cut off and jumped a curb. the person was drunk the cop said.
After being towed home, I discovered my left rim bent and it wouldn't hold air. The left side is where the impact happened. I took it to a mechanic shop to diagnose any issues, but they said its okay. But clearly not.
My car makes a creaking noise and I can feel it when I'm accelerating. It all happened after I smashed into the curb. I got new rims n tires.
I can't see anything under the car that's damaged and the mechanics didn't see anything either. They said it's my tires rubbing(because I borrowed my friends 17s for the night). But I got smaller rims and tires now. Still does it. When I punch the gas, it makes the creaking noise. Then when I let off, it goes away.
I've yet to get under there with a pry bar and see if anything has play. Ill do that tonight. Im also gonna check the top part of the strut in the engine bay.
Anything else I should be looking at? Thanks guys.

The engine twists under accel, check all the mounts under the hood, see if ones cracked. Maybe blew/ripped the old rubber insides or something...?

Also check the alignment (chances are that it is off after that impact, but that is likely not the source of your problems), tie rod ends, ball joints, wheel bearings, and everything else in that general area should be checked.
Do you guys think it would be the half shaft caster?
I agree with him because it only makes the sound/feeling when i press on the gas and throw down some torque. Thats where all the torque goes on our cars.

I know what caster is and thats not it. Caster is the angle of the knuckle when viewed from the wheel side of the knuckle of front to back of the car.
Its possible your caster was affected by the accident and it would be corrected by shimming the radius rod. How that would be causing the rubbing sound i dunno.

Most of us would call that a bearing, but maybe he is going French-English and the translation is off a bit for us? In any case that could be the case, and fast and cheap to swap out and try.
Did you have an alignment done? If the hit was hard enough to damage a rim, it could easily have skewed your alignment, bent a strut etc.

Before throwing any money at parts, I'd throw money at an alignment. Determining what measurement is off will help disseminate which parts/areas need to be looked at for damage and possible replacement.
Post up the results afterwards so that we may help further, right now it's shots in the dark!

Have you changed that half shaft yet? They are super easy to find, and about a 20-30 min job. I would just swap with another shaft, unless you really want to replace the bearing and seal on the one that is on the car now.
Of course if you are pulling the axle out as well, check it over and see if it could use replacement as well.

if its a caster or a bearing, check it out instead of bickering, go see about the alignment, and if anything is wrong, they should find it DURING the alignment

Here is some insight from a fellow curb hitter. One night a few friends and I got in a fire extinguisher fight. Car was covered in the powder so I drove it away from the fight without my lights on. Drove straight into a curb and pushed my wheels almost against the fenders.
The subframe got bent, the radius rods were bent, the lca's were bent, the support going under the motor was bent, and my alignment was completely off. Go to a junkyard, go get new lca's, radius rods, and a subframe. Go to the dealer and buy new bushings for the subframe, and if the lca bushings are shot then order some ES bushings and replace them. While you have it apart replace your sway bar end links. Get it realigned and enjoy your car again.
I'm willing to bet a couple pieces of your suspension are bent. Good luck finding which ones are bent. It's a bitch trying to do it by eye. Easier to pay a couple hundred and just replace it all. $100 in OEM bushings, $50 in ES bushings, $100 junkyard suspension pieces.

In order for the intermediate shaft to get damaged wouldn't it make sense that something else would be damaged as well ? In order to get to the intermediate shaft you would have to go through the radius rod or lower control arm.
Furthermore, Honda specifically tells you what they mean by caster. I get that this other guy is using a different definition, but I'm confident we are talking about Hondas in this thread.
