Hi - I bought a 2012 CIVIC new in JUL2012 (love the car). Vehicle has only been serviced by dealer. Had recent oil/filter change performed, came home and parked car in driveway (10AM). Later that day (7PM) I dove car about 50 miles when my wife called to tell me of oil puddle in driveway. I immediately pulled over and turned off engine. When I check oil the dip-stick was dry. I had car towed to local repair station and they indicated defective oil filter. I called dealer and they indicated they would tow car back to their location, change the oil/filter and have us come back in a week where they would check the oil for metal to see if any damage done to engine. Not sure what to do. Any guidance would be appreciated.
