00 Accord EX, ULEV, cyl's 3 and 4 not firing
Hey guys, this may get a little involved - and I have checked the normal things....shorter version of a long short: picked up a 2000 Accord EX 4 cyl, running like crap....thinking plugs/wires maybe a dist cap and rotor. So, got it halfway home and it is running even worse, so I left it a Kroger close to home. Went back today....pulled the plugs....I knew I had issues when cyl 3 plug (1 being closest to the dizzy -- is this right?), looked like my pic and the other plugs were normal. Cyl 4 (closest to the TB) also looked a little oily but not too bad. Anyway, swapped injectors (3 and 4 to 1 and 2), injectors appear to be ok. So, I went to plug the harness for injector 2 into injector 3, and the harness for 1 into 2, and it seemed like 3 would still not fire. Anyway, to make a LONG story short seems like cyl 3 and 4 are not firing. I have spark, I think the injectors are good, and I think the harnesses have power.
I plan on checking the timing tomo
I find it real hard to believe that I have two dead cylinders on an Accord with only 150,000 miles that does not look beat. The guy it just started running like crap when he was driving home.....

Have a compression tester?
Pop the dist cap off and inspect the cap and rotor contacts.
BTW - #1 is on the belt end of the engine, then simply count (assume you are looking at the engine from the front bumper) right to left. #4 would be the one by the dist.
