Default Question for you guys on trans

Will a 88'-91' civic SI/CRX L3 tranny Short gears. Cable transmission work in my 1992 Honda Accord Ex.
the ratio is 4250 final drive
Where the accord Is a 4062 I belive.
What kind of difference would be expected when changing transmission as far as performance of the Car? and what all would I need to do the swap with?
Also Considering going down from a 195-60-15 series tire to a 195-45-15 tire. We are Doing Some Experementing. I race on a dirt oval Just trying to get
the car better. thanks for your guys time.

If you want lower gears, grab a 92-96 Prelude tranmission(MT). If you are running an AT you can also use 94-98 F22 Odyssey transmissions as well.

Something I have wondered about. In 98 the Accord went to F23A motors and a different transmission. What did Odyssey do? Stay with the F22B setup, or follow the Accord and change the motor and trans?

The '98 Odyssey is a one year oddball that uses the same setup as the '98 Accords.
