Hello there, I am going to look at an em1 shortly and was wondering if there was anything in-particular that I need to look for making sure no infamous problems were apparent on the vehicle. If you guys could help me that would be awesome. Thanks everyone!

 

Bring a compressor checker, and while you're doing that try and look down the spark plug holes to see how much black carbon is built up on the pistons. Hondas love to burn oil, it gets old fast and valve stem seals cost alot to have replaced.

 

input shaft bearing/high rev trans grinds and pop outs. 3rd gear is usually the problem gear. i doubt anyone will let a stranger compression test their car, i sure as hell wouldnt.

 

i take people's engines apart before i buy them.. It would deff **** someone off if i didn't end up buying it lol

I'd compression test my car for someone if they asked lol

 

ill do it, maybe. the general public is full of cavemen fucktards who i wouldn't let test drive my beater, let alone start turning wrenches on it.
