Swapped a d16y5 (hx) motor into my 97 ex. Drove it for 4 days woke up on the 5th day and crank but not start. Motor ran great had no problems for 4 days now idk.

Car has new; ngk plugs, ngk wires, cap, rotor, and just picked up a new distributer. Still no start. Not getting any spark out of any of the wires or the coil but I know for a fact this distributer works I put it in my friends ex and his car started and ran fine. I checked all of my grounds, all the
fuses under the hood / dash. I try ed using a different battery. Tryed popstart jumpstart nothing. Tryed a different ecu I know that's good but same crank no start. I'm going crazy what could be the problem?

 

CELL codes?

Does the fuel pump prime?

 

Main relay? Do you hear a click when you turn the key to the on position?

 

There's no click whatsoever. Also I Tryed using another main relay and I got the same result. Even Tryed re soldering the joints but nothing.

 

There is codes I haven't pulled them yet. Also idk what u mean by fuel pump priming?

 

Turn key to the ON position. You will see the CEL go on and then off after about two seconds and hear the main relay click. During this time you will hear the fuel pump. located under the back seat, make some noises. That noise is the fuel pump priming.

And PULL THE CODES!!! All you need is a paper clip.

 

check voltage at the distributor plug
