Default 98 Spec JDM ITR Hesitation

Hi all, im hoping someone here can help, I have a 98 spec JDM integra type R, the car is completely standard with no modifications,

Recently it has had a slight hesitation when it gets hot, it only comes when I sit in traffic for a while, if i travel to seattle etc its fine, it remains responsive as it should but as soon as I sit in traffic for 20 mins etc it starts to hesitate at about 3k rpm.
Car still pulls through the rev range, Vtec engages as it should. It seems to be when something gets "heat soaked" in traffic. It has no CEL light on either.

So far this is what I've done to try combat and solve the issue;

New NGK Plug leads
New Rotor cap and Arm
New CAT
New Genuine Denso 02 Sensor,
New Genuine PCV
Full service incl. air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, mobil 1 fully syntecthic 10w30
NGK heat range 6 iridium plugs (also tried heat range 7 same difference, JDMs are speced with heat range 6)
Tried Different Fuel, was originally running on 94 Chevron, but recently changed to 91 with Ethanol - No noticable difference.

Checked ignition timing and its set perfectly to 16 BTDC
Checked Cam Timing and its Perfect

Cleaned the IACV and Intake Manifold and Throttle Body.

Ran compression Test and readings were 239 239 240 239

Car doesnt burn oil, no soot on exhaust and doesnt loose coolant

Car averages 28mpg with mainly city driving and short highway, when on total highway its seen 35mpg.

one thing that may have made a short term difference (unless i was just imagining it) was when i done an ECU reset, during the first 300 km's afterwards it didnt seem to have the hesitation.

The hesitation isnt noticable to passengers, i can just feel it through the throttle and the position of my foot for the response im getting.

Ive searched through all the results for similar problems but none seem to match exactly.

Any help will be greatly apperciated.

Cheers,
John

I would suspect the distributor, possibly the coil is in the early stages of failure. For a bone stock car there's not much too much that causes issues but distributors tend to act up when they are hot or wet.

Hey man, thanks for the reply, That is my next thing to test on the car. I tested my map sensor and TPS and they are operating perfectly within spec.

Is it more likely the Coil or the Ignitor?

i have 96 spec but i had the same issue prior. Within a month later my car doesn't even start. For my case it was the igniter chip that went.
