Default 95 Civic having trouble starting

my car is having trouble starting from cold. when i turn the key it makes a click noise like a dead battery. accessories turn on but car doesnt crank. usually takes 3 or 4 turns till the car starts, when warm that car starts easily. the battery was just replaced at honda so its not a battery issue. any idea on what the issue could be? had a friend look at the car and said there is some oil in the spark plug wires, if that could be the problem, but i really dont know?

That doesn't mean the battery isn't bad.

If it is just the wires that have oil, it's like your valve cover seals/gaskets.
If your spark plugs have oil on them, well then it is likely due to bad piston rings or bad valve seals.
