Default 90 crx Gsr swap. Vtec doesn't seem to engage

1990 crx. Has Gsr bottom end b16 head. Car has ran fine up until I drove back from Virginia.

Vtec has always seem to engage properly. Now it seems to be fairly sluggish in the higher rpms.

There are no trouble codes. It was about. 20 hour road trip back to back. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance.

How is your oil level? Low on oil will not throw a CEL and will prevent vtec from activating.
A clogged vtec solenoid will also behave like this.

Removing the VTEC pressure switch is easy. If it is clogged, let me know. I have a new screen and gasket I never used. Still in the packaging.

Oil is good. Thanks for the advice. Once I get some time I'll mess around with it. Thanks for the info fellas.
