96 Dx civic hatch-Need some help
So I just bought a 96 Dx civic hatch shell and well it was took apart. I'm almost done putting the interior back together but I need to put some peices of metal back on the floor but I can't find the holes to were the screws go. It has been painted with sound proof paint or something and I can't find the holes nor on the sides where there suppose to be some, I'm thinking there not for the car, but can someone please let me know. I'm 17, I know some of some but need help on this. And I wanted to ask is it important for that part to be on?
Look at the wrecked one, then look in the same spots on your shell and you should be able to poke an ice pick or small screw driver through the paint over the holes.
That's how I would proceed. The holes should be there.

Those braces are part of what keeps the car from folding in half in a side collision, so yeah, they are rather important. You should reinstall them.
Interesting. So that's why the 1997 model year has more parts listed in the link I posted above. I thought the website was just screwed up.
Too bad they used the same picture...that's why it was difficult to notice.

I was going to add them to my 96 hatch . Figured out after I got them that the holes are not there . Marks for the ctr/Gsr strut tower brace also not there
