The car was leaking what looked like to be coolant, but the temp gauge stayed steady. Car drives fine aside from the front end...What's the damage?

Mostly cosmetic. The only structural damage I can see from the pictures provided is the radiator core support. The radiator if you saw a leak and maybe the condenser line.

If you are doing the work, maybe $500. A body shop is going to be $1500 to $4000 or more.

 

Radiator support, possibly bumper brackets and bumper, possibly ac condenser, radiator, and the obvious cosmetic stuff

 

It looks to be a 1999 or 2000 Civic EX Coupe Automatic. Is it? Why do you ask? Are you looking at buying it or you already own it and don't know what to do with it?

 

replace the "T section" of the rad support and the obvious damaged parts and you're set.

 

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate the help immensely! I'm trying to gather everything I may need to fix it and get an idea of how much it may cost. It's a great running car otherwise. Good to read that the damage may not be too extensive. I don't have much cash though, which is the problem unfortunately...debating on what to do.

Yeah, you're right. 1999 EX Coupe Auto, and I already own it.. wasn't sure what to do with it.

 

You could probably just get a radiator, as long as the fan clears the exhaust manifold, and drive it as is. Bungee Down the hood to prevent it from flying up with several bungee cords. I wouldn't take it on the highway unless you have to. Save up and fix it yourself. $500 in junkyard parts and Craigslist finds.

This isn't something that the insurance will cover? You don't need to give any details on this if you don't want to.

If the transmission is strong and the car has low miles, I would fix it and keep it. Otherwise, part it out and get another with a manual. It looks like a solid car.

 

Yeah, that sounds doable for now. Luckily, I won't need to commute much until September. So, I've got time to get this all done.

Unfortunately, I only have liability insurance.

The car itself is great. ~143,000 miles. I was planning on selling it very soon for a manual, actually. So this puts a damper on those plans a bit :p.
