Piston - Valve Contact
So this is the original build on my car
http://www.newfoundlandmotorsports.c...p?f=19&t=36081
I just purchased a set of BC stage 2 cams and Springs/ retainers. After putting the motor together I was setting the timing belt tension and it seems as though my pistons are coming in contact with my valves. The motor turns about 1/10 a turn and then stops. Im afraid to force it for obvious reassons. My question is this: Should I be having this problem with this setup or have I done something wrong? Typed this on my phone please excuse typos.

*K566M815 Wisecos, stock Type-R valves, OEM headgasket, block and head machined (-0.028").
Was the bottom end apart as well, or just the head to do the cams? Are all the markings for TDC lined up and what cam gears are you running?
I was about to say, Those camshafts aren't very big, on primaries or vtec. there shouldn't be any v2p issues on that standard of a setup.
when rotating like that, you're on the primaries. Ensure you have proper lubrication like you did, and the cam rails are torqued to spec. Don't make your Tbelt too tight, or too lose.

Who told you that??
Bruce has disowned Brian over this mess AFAIK.
Brian Crower sells junk cores from China with literally ZERO R&D... I'd run ******* Blox over Brian's crap.

I used to work for a Machine shop and the owner was friends with Bruce, a lot of this is second hand info from Bruce, but yeah he wasn't pleased when Brian started using the Crower name to outsource cam profiles to China.
That quote is directly off the Crower website.

This is Dustin from BC. This is 100 percent not true as we use the same cam core as CROWER as I worked there for 10 years before coming to BC. It is true Bruce was not happy when Brian started his own business but we make a a high quality cam using the same a material as them. PAC racing makes our valve springs and we make our it retainers.

Your retainers are made in house?
Yes sir.
First there was the original Crower which I started working at in 1996.
Daniel Crower (Bruce's son) left when I started as I actually replaced him in the dyno room. He started Crower Power which now mainly focuses on Motorcylce products.
Brian left in 2006 and I joined him in 2007 here at BC.
We are the presenting sponsor for HONDA DAY 2014 in NJ next weekend. If anyone is at the event make sure you come by our booth.
