yea, go for it, but plan on dropping 5k on the b16 swap to get it in and running, (parts may not cost that much, but chances are all the misc things and parts youll find you want to replace while its out will cost that much)

spend a few hundred and buy a d16a1 to throw in there and mod that, you could boost it and do crazy work to it for the price youd spend on a stock b16 setup in and running. but yea, buy the car, i got my si in mind condition for 1300 with new ac and 3 month warranty.... do it! theyre SO MUCH FUN!

Don't listen to all these guys with putting B16A's and what not. Sure the thing will move nicely, but what about your suspension? You'll throw off the whole weight differenital of the car. All I would do is get a 1G integra (86-87) and swap over the tranny, motor, axles, and brake upgrade. Engine puts out around 113 hp stock, and you can always go N/A or D series turbo! Now that is the cheap and safe and fun way to go!

thanks for input everyone.
i will get a test drive and try to haggle for the car lolz

oh btw, the comment about the suspension - cuz i have another car - this car is more like a toy, so i dont care much about safety and stuff, besides, ive never seen a 1g integ, so i dont know how that works out. ill look into the d16a1 also.. thanks for the heads up.

the suspension will be fine no matter what motor you put in there.

i don't think the 50 or so pounds that the b16 weighs over the dohc d motor will make a big difference.

just may be my lucky day.. this dude with a 89 integra crashed it in the back, hes selling the whole car for 500 bills. so that means.. d16a engine, plus the axles and any other crap .. brakes.. etc.. does this sounds good?

i hope this **** goes through, i cant wait to start ripping the car apart.

I say "DO IT!"

I have a 87 Civic SI and when it was stock, it can keep up with the current civics and accords. It's a light car! I heard the CRX SI is lighter. So I say go for it!

So far, a custom turbo and a new engine is underway for my civic.

no dipshit, as a matter of fact, i'm not.
i had an 87 Si hatch with a B20vtec. the only thing the front suspension had was tokicos and a strut bar. stock torsions, stock sway.
and i've seen H22s stuffed in these cars. it's not like they had to go out and redesign the geometry to handle the wieght either.
you don't know what you're talking about, nor do you have any experience obviously. so stop acting like you do and stfu. to you.
anything else you'd like to be 0wN3d on...lemme know

You will need to do quite a bit of wiring work to get the 89 Integra engine to work in the 87 CRX. The 89 D16A1 not quite the same as the 87 D16A1. The 87 D16A1 will pretty much drop in with no issues. It is definitely worth it to rewire your car for the 89 D16A1 though. It puts you in a nice position if you ever want to upgrade or do a standalone.
