I just purchased a 1988 Honda CRX si and I've been replacing and fixing parts as I go but i can not locate a part. I purchased a new ignition switch and ignition key cylinder for the car because when I bought it, it only had an ignition switch so you could start the car with a screwdriver. I need the piece that connects the ignition switch to the key cylinder. I have no idea what it is called or where to find it. If you know, please help because I have been searching every auto salvage for two weeks now.

The second video you posted, if you look at the time 1:46, he'll show you a piece. I need the whole thing except for the key cylinder.

 

personally i would just snag a whole new steering column. i have a dx with the same issue, and just took the tilt steering column out of a ex. had to get a new key for it though.

 

I found it, they sell the whole thing with cylinder and ignition switch for more than $250 at Autozone. Thanks guys.

 

I work there and even with the discount i prefer to do my parts shopping on ebay. Like 50$ for the igition cylinder, housing AND steering column on ebay...
