Default Mount inserts vs New Mounts for stock EM1

So my axles are fine, wheel bearings fine, suspension parts have no noticeable play, so now I'm leaning towards mounts being the culprit of my shake during acceleration, which leads me to this question...

ES polyurethrane mount inserts or just get new OEM mounts?

I've never done the mount inserts but I just read through a ton of threads and someone put that mount inserts made his car shake worse, sound legit?

Thanks in advance!

That totally depends on you. Polyurethane mounts are quite a bit stiffer than OEM mounts.

I have polyurethane inserts on my ej8. they do shake a lot more, especially when I have the a/c on. I would recommend solid mounts where there are no holes in them.

So sounds like if I'm trying to alleviate shakes/vibrations then mount inserts are not what I'm looking for..!

Thanks for the tips guys..

lol.

For a daily driven car, I would highly recommend OEM mounts.

For a track or drag car, that's a totally different story.

It's daily driven.. I may go boost but it will be under 300hp if I do so I think that accounts for stock'ish criteria still lol..

I'm pretty sure a good set of those torque mounts with new oem motor mounts would keep you happy, I daily drove a car with mount inserts for about 2 years an jesus if it wasnt torqued good or lochtited on it was gonna rattle loose.....never carried change since it would annoy the **** outta me plus on hard shifts it would make the disc player skip lol.

Lol thanks for the tip..! And I had to open up my speaker holes in the doors to accomodate my 6.5" door speakers since the magnets are larger then stock, so my door panel already fits super snug so any little vibration or shaking and my door panel let's me know! It does get quite a bit annoying, and from searching around it seems a lot of peoples EM1's do this..! ahh!
