Default Removing the cat will it cause cel

I got an 95 accord with an p28 chipped and i want to know if removing my cat will throw a cel

Removing the cat, prob not. Removing the o2 sensors and keeping unplugged or not plugging them into a test pipe that most likely yes.

thanks for the reply will plugging the o2 into the test pipe cause the engine to run poorly since the reading will be wrong?

No, as long as you either 1 have hondata or something to that effect to turn of the 02 heater and plug it, but its still good to run an o2 or wideband. Blocking it off with no o2 will cause it to run like crap because there is nothing to read.

I mean if i use a test pipe and i plug the sensor in it will still have a reading but will it run crap cause the reading will be w/o the cat

naw you should be fine cat or no cat the o2 sensor just needs to read the oxygen to fuel mixture depending on whether it needs to be at the headers or down towards the test pipe it should be fine.

95 ACCORD IS OBD1. P28 IS OBD1. Neither of these have a secondary O2 sensor (after the cat) that monitors catalytic converter effectiveness. This means you can remove the Cat without worrying about getting a CEL.
