Lsvtec no vtec crossover
Ill start off with my build.
94 gsr integra. has a stock obd2 b18b1 block with a p72 gsr head.
Head was cleaned, milled.10 and decked, stock valves, cams etc. I tapped the head, and ran a sandwich plate with braided oil line to back of the head with correct dowels into the block. Has edelbrock adj cam gears with gates blue timing belt. p72 water pump Has edelbrock adj cam gears with gates blue timing belt. p72 water pump etc etc.
So i did the first start up and drive today and as i drove it i felt like it had less power than my old ls. instantly my check engine light came on. Limped it back home and realized i had no knock sensor...hooked up my buddys s300 hondata and now no check engine light for the knock, BUT no vtec crossover and still feel like it doesnt have the "kick" even a stock gsr would have at low rpms. i use hondata and i can manually engage vtec. Any idea on what my problem could be? Any help would be great!

Has the vtec ever worked in this car, might want to start looking at wiring, not enough oil, how thick is the oil line going to the head. Make sure the seal is on the 3rd cam cap. Make sure you plugged the hole on the bottom of the head. You said you can manually engage it, how are you doing this, make sure the wire to ecu for vtec is there and working.
I'm running a stock obd1 p72 ecu. This is the first time it's has vtec since I've owned it (I bought it work a ls) it gets enough oil, through hondata the vtec manually kicks hard like it should
