So my hub started making a noise on my 93 honda prelude it was on the right side I bought one on eBay it said right side but when I got it sais left like the spindle and the knuckle so the hub too I tried to get a refund for this $100 and they would not let me so now I'm stuck with the left one and I need the right side what what I want to know will just the hub pressed on the right side work

 

Hubs don't make noise, bearings do. Also, both right and left use both the same bearing and hub. They are identical on either side.

The bearing is pressed onto the hub and the hub bolts to the knuckle. If you have noise, you need a new bearing however if the bearing is really bad and the inner race sticks to the hub it's possible it damaged the hub so buy a bearing and take the knuckle and the bearing and the hub down to a mechanic that has a shop press and ask him to press out the old bearing and see if it damaged the hub. If it did, you will need to use the new hub and have him press the new bearing onto it and then bolt it back to the knuckle and put the knuckle back on the car and you should be good to go.

If you shop around enough, you should be able to find someone to do the pressing for $40 or so.
