Default A few EJ7 questions?

Hey guys, haven't been around for a while. Anyway, I looked up the mini me swap in search and found Gabe's (extensive) article, and I'm still going thru it, and was wondering...

1) I'm thinking about doin the mini swap in my EJ7 and I was looking around and found that my D16Y5 actually has more torque than the D16Y8, is this true?

2) If I do the Mini swap, will I retain the higher torque curve?

3) I alos did a search on the teg dash in EK's, and haven't found any real useful info, anyone have more?

Thanks...

No. 107lb/ft for the Y8 vs. 106lb/ft for the Y5, but I think the Y5 has a much broader torque curve if i'm not mistaken.

No, in changing the head, you're changing the characteristics of the motor as per how it creates it power.
