I have no sponsors. Closest thing I have is the shop I work at. They'll sometimes front me small amounts of money to buy like an exhaust or header, but I pay them back. I do get to work on the car whenever after hours, but actual sponsorship is hard to obtian for a few reasons.

They want to make money from your sponsorship. You'd better be dedicated and willing to travel all over the place. Whether it's a drag car, road race car, or a show car you had better be able to tour and show off their products in action all over the country.

Also you'd better have something to offer them too. If it's racing you'd better be skilled, if it's shows you'd better be creative and already have a nice car that is different or well put together.

Nobody gives parts away for free just so your car can look better or be faster.

What kind of sponsorship are you looking for?
Full sponsorship?
Discounted sponsorship?
Email your information to sales@hybrid-motorsports.com and we will consider your request.

be a fast talker. convince them that anything you get from them will eventaully make them money. i have learned that if you play off peoples hobbies they will help you with yours.

my sponsors did not start out as such. i just brought them a lot of business and became friends. now we work together for mutual business gains and all of us have a great time in the process. good luck, your sponsors will be your life savers if you get the right ones. can't count how many times i needed a crank pulley bolt or spare ecu at the track and they came through for me with flying colors!

That's the thing I don't really know. What I was thinking was just getting sponsored with little things here and there. Now I'm not going for looks, yeah I want to put some wheels on my car a carbon fiber hood and a carbon fiber lip but that's it. I really want to go more performance wise so I was thinking of just letting them advertise on my car. Oh yeah how much longer will I be a trial user for?

My brother had no sponsors when he built his CRX. We did all the work on it and a local shop helped with the first install. He took the car to the Nopi Compact Nationals and a guy came up and asked about his car and said he wanted to put it in a mag. Then he got on the cover of the june 2002 Auto Sound & Security. After that he called alumapro (which he had their subs) and they sent him a whole new audio setup with carbon fiber subs. Falken gives him tires, and shops do work for cheap. He also re-did his car for the Nopi nationals and got asked to shoot for another mag next month.

Just build something flashy that the public likes and that sells products.

You need to be very professional and know how to sell yourself. I`ve been approched by a few different teams to represent them and gather sponsors. It helps if you work within the industry, too. I have proposals ready to go for SEMA next week.

Your gonna need alot more than what you have to get sponsored. You have to have something above and beyond what is currently out there.

Your the same guy who beat a turbo car by 15 cars though so anything is possible

We have a few sponsors, Benen and Fastbrakes.

We didn't have to approach them, they approched us.

There are a few other sponsors that we have on hold right now as we finalize our plans for next year.

Take a look at the sponsorship page on http://www.velascoracing.com
that seems to work pretty well for us.

Let me ask you this: What do you have to offer? What can you do to help my company that the other 1265321532165316325216 "import racers" can`t?
