Hey guys new here I have a 98 accord with a f23a1 I have searched and called around and cant find a solution to my problem so before you start saying search dont im not some noob who cant search so with that as side recently my car has been idling at 1500 with the idle turned all the way down I was told the iacv so I cleaned it, jow it looks like new cleaned the mounting surface and all then reinstalled it then my idle went up to 2000 not moving I bled the coolant system and checked for air leaks couldnt find any all vacuum lines are good the only codes im throwing are p0325 but I have a brand new knock sensor any help is greatly appreciated

 

the fast idle thermal valve (FITV) might be letting be closing




put your finger over the lower port (hole) and see if that lowers your rpm

pic is for reference only, it doesn't have a FITV

 

My car doesnt have the fitv only the iacv hole

 

how does your car idle with the IACV unplugged

 

At roughly 1000 but it kinda bounces

What idle ignition timing are you running

 

Just the oem I didnt think mine was adjustable?

 

ignition timing is adjusted by rotating the distributor

you check timing with a timing light

 

I cant rotate my distributor

 

So cleaned my iacv with wd40 again and let it soak for a bit and adjusted my idle up a hair not its idling at 1000 when its warmed up gunna try it in the morning and see if it stays
