crap....skunk2 intake manifold is weird!?!?....please read
I installed it last night and i did notice hp increase as well as torque....but there are freakin 2 problems.....1)when i almost redline around 7800 my stock rpm meter needle jumps to 8000 to 2000, twice....what the hell does that mean?2) when my car hits vtec it sounds like its going to bog out or blow up...reasoning being is that i my motor sounds diff like louder and about to fall apart and my pedal has a vibration to it...its jsut to wierd someone please tell me whats wrong thanx
Sunds kind of weird to me. I also have a 94 gsr with the manifold, but never ran into any problems like that. Maybe you should check and make sure everything is tightened down. There probably just a vibration some where. as far as your tach needle going all the way down to 2k and then back up to 8k, thats just weird. I would go through all of your wiring connections and make sure they are all in correctly. Did you have to lengthen your IAC connector???
its your rev limiter...maybe your stock needle is inaccurate and is reading the wrong rpm thats why its moving back...as for the vibration your motor is probably loose or whatever...since your car is old mayeb the mounting is loose or the bushings in your suspension
where did you notice the power increases most? did you feel as if you lost any power lower on the powerband? do you have just i/h/e?
as for the needle thing, assuming it didn't do this before, make sure that the connections to the throttle body and mani are correct, and that they are sealed properly. as for the weird vibration, could it be that it was there before and you didn't notice it? maybe the mani caused such a power increase, your motor is buckling under the delivery

OK, first do you have a b16/ls/rs throttle cable and rotor. The stock throttle cable will work but it will have the problems you listed. I know because it happened to me, it's exactly how you described it. So go to a junkyard and get the correct parts, it'll solve your problem.
