The A6 was the Si motor. The Si and DX engine harnesses are different and the cabin harnesses are different. The problem arises when you go to plug the engine harness into the cabin harness. It won't work.

Source an appropriate harness. Should be able to sell the A6 engine harness.

The A6 harness will work on the Z6, just not in the DX chassis. You need a DX harness.

Also, how do you know it is the A6 harness? MPFI? Assumed?

How do you know it's a built D16Z6?

You can use the resister box and injectors still. See if it will plug into the shock tower plugs. Could be a converted harness, you never know.
