Default Idle. Rey low on my Honda Accord 1996 EX

Hi,

The idle is fine when I first start the car. After driving for awhile and stopping at a red light or stop sign I notice that it feels like the car wants to stall out. A few times it has.
I believe I need a new O2 sensor. I have also heard about cleaning the IAC valve.
Of course the check engine light is also on which is from the sensor needing changing. This light been on for a few years. I have 214,000 miles on the car and don't want to spend lots of money on it.
Will cleaning the IAC valve help?

Just clean the outer metal mesh filter of any carbon deposit after removing it from the throttle body.

Replace the oxygen sensor in the exhaust manifold(upstream) with a Denso model.
