What do you the call the panel that the lock for the hood is mounted? It's a little bit bent so the hood doesn't pop up by itself without my help.

 

Its called the t bar. Most efs have this problem. I got a come-a-long or racthet strap and went around a tree and bent it out a little problem solved or try your luck at junk yards

 

It's proper name is the upper radiator support or the bulkhead upper frame.
The vertical piece to the 'T' is the bulkhead center stay.

What your not going to tell him he needs to replace the engine also?

 

He was very clear to say "What do you the call the panel that the lock for the hood is mounted?"

The engine isn't that part.... butttt.... if he dropped a K motor or a J motor in there, then he could just leave the hood off for engine clearance. Problem solved!
