Default Hello Honda Tech

Whats up guys.

Just got myself a 1999 Honda Civic LX Sedan.

been trying to find a nice forum to get info from and this seems to be the most popular site. Not gonna go all out on this one like i am my Hyundai, but i still want this ek to look, handle, and run good to last a long time. Currently has 160,xxx miles on it. so right now just trying to keep her going with replacing the normal stuff (oil, brakes, plugs….)

Plans for the car are pretty simple. Retrofitted lights, 50/50 tails, wheels/tires, springs (really want bags), intake, exhaust, and really thats about it. Maybe a sound system. This is mainly a daily to keep miles off my Hyundai during school.

Still got a lot of researching to do on where to look for good reliable parts, OEM and aftermarket. Any help would be great.

Hey jerrjerr,

Welcome to the forums! Seems like you have everything planned for it already. It should be an awesome DD to save some gas. Have any pictures of it? If you don't mind me asking, what kind of Hyundai do you own? Also, I can help with any type of aftermarket parts you may need as well. Enjoy the car!

Dan.

thanks. Not too sure if i really want to mod this thing or just keep it stock, but looking at some fb pages parts are crazy cheap-- at least compared to my Hyundai. its a Genesis Coupe 2.0T btw.

actually just got 2 10" kickers from my friend for free, so i guess I'm gonna put those in. This car was pre wired for a system by the last owner. not the best job, but at least i can trace where they ran everything and replace the wires with new fresh ones.

But here they are. What i drive is based on when i feel like hitting the "italicize" button

Nice Genesis you got there! If I had that I would def. want a DD to keep the miles low and car fresh. That's probably the best mod you can do for yourself during long commutes.

Cheers,
Dan.
