The ******* thieves struck up here in Colorado of all places. Last night I was walking to my car that was in a well lit area very close to the mall at 10:00 p.m. I opened the passenger side door to brush some snow off. I then get into the drivers side. I then look at the floor board of the passenger's side and see a bunch of plastic that looked like it came from the the rear corner panels back there. I then attempt to start my car and that's when I realize that all that plastic was from the steering column. The ******* tried to hot-wire it probably first through the key ignition, then ripped off the plastic and tried to do some thing with the ignition wires and tried to start it. Lucky they did get anywhere.

I have no idea on how they got in, I look my doors everytime and double check to see if they are locked. There was no sign of forced entry. BTW I also had a $400 digi cam in there that they stoll .

To my luck there was a Nordstrom's camera very clsoe to my car, so hopefully they got them on video tape. If I ever see those ******* in the mall, I'm going to attack them like a ******* angry as viking and just lye on top of them and pound their ******* faces into the ground. I don't need this extra expense right now.

where was this. i live in colorado and i figure if you got hit htere i should stay away as well. they must have been desperate being how cold it was and the snow and all. did you get the police to mold anyof the footprints around your car(just kidding) thank god for insurance

if you have the immoblizer they'll still get your car. i suggest a good alarm system, SOON. they tired to break your column. but they couldnt because the newer integ's have 3x the amount of steel there... so you got lucky...

I've had my system stolen twice in the first 6 months I had the car. So I just ripped out EVERYTHING, including the radio. Now I have no problem cause there isn't anything to steal.

If you do get to see them, since they have no idea who you are or what you look like, you have the element of surprise. Use this to your advantage. If you ever see them, just walk up to them (or the person) and knock them out cold.

Yep, they won't even know what hit them. Hopefully they drove a car to my car and the camera's caught the liscense plate number on one of their rides. With this I could defaintly susprise them.

 

That sucks dude... I'm sorry, my old car got broken in to last year (95 gsr) they took everyt thin but the mods & the car I'm from CO too errrr definately not driving any where I go tonight

 

what scares me the most is parking at the Prominade theatres. one of the dave & busters security guards told me that the previos night, two integras had been jacked form that lot

When I went to Vegas last year my car got broken into... They used a slim jim thru my driverside window and just tapped my power door locks. It's that easy to get into our cars. And the best method to stop this is getting RS door handles because they don't have power locks! Just buy it from an acura dealer and replace yours! And to someone's reply that you can't break the steering column off the newer integras... mine was broken! It cost me around 1,000 dollars... I had to leave my car in Vegas and take the ******* grey hound to get home to Riverside, CA. Seven hour bus ride! Then I took Southwest to get back to Vegas and picked up my car. Stopped by Bellagio and won 300 bucks in 15 minutes... (that paid my airfare!)

Lower you window and check the top of it... I bet you that some of your window has little cracks from the slim jim. That's how they got in. (At least mine are)

When they stole my car the pulled the window back like a **** hair and slid a hanger or slim jim right in and simply hit the power lock but WALA there in,about 10 seconds.

 

hella people i know buy hot **** ...if people stop buying stolen shiet ..ie si rims and all that other crap then we wouldnt have a problem..

nothin but hippies in boulder so there isn't really much theft that we have to deal with.
