Default EK Radio Brackets

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone with the radio brackets can help me. One of the lads said he can make these for me but will require detailed dimensions. It would be so nice of someone could give me the detailing dimension as how long until the folds and hole positions. I would really appreciate as I am stuck with no radio after some ****s broken into my car n whole middle console n radio was robbed. I somehow managed to find the climate console as em very hard to find. But now cant find these brackets

I was able to locate the dimensions but not that helpful for the lad and also the OEM part no.

Honda OEM Parts no:
BRACKET, R. RADIO 77211-S04-900ZZ
BRACKET, L. RADIO 77212-S04-900ZZ

Dimensions, L: 7.0 x W: 4.5 x H: 1.1 (inches)
(Found the dimensions on web)

Thanks in advance.

IV seen this thread before, you should search more if people dont give you the answer. Also marc I told this guy to search you dont have to be mean to him cuz I think he already tried but com'on bro we both know you're the best at searching for stuff you shouldn't put people down for not being as skilled as you are

^^There's no searching for these numbers (but somehow searching for parts numbers is?). Someone is going to have to pull off their console and then take detailed measurements. What the OP is asking for is pretty much a technical drawing. I used to do that for a living. Good luck with that. Someone is going to need to measure these things on all three axes for it to be accurate. I could probably get close from the pictures provided but guarantee nothing. My freelance rate is $40/hr.

Is there some reason you aren't looking in junkyards or ordering the parts from Honda? It would probably cost you less than having them fabricated.

like I said I remember someone else trying to do this a while ago. IIRC someone did provide good info that made op able to fab em up.

and also finding used parts can be a PITA. He seems to know someone that can fab it if he gets the dimensions, which may or may not turn out to be easier than getting them uswd

THOSE are NOT the ONLY dimensions you need to be able to fabricate those. If you've seen this resource then search it down and provide it.

Finding used parts only seems to be an affliction you posses to a crippling degree. Every single time someone has come along and said they cannot find "X" part, I've found it.

Also, I'm not asking YOU why he just doesn't order the parts from Honda, I'm asking the OP. I'm not asking you to speculate on the OPs behalf, nor ultimately derail his thread on the first shiney thought that pops into your head.

You know what? I'm between lesson plans so I'll whip up some general estimates.

This is 1:1 scale with a tolerance of 1/8" on the dimensions. These are general estimates based on the photo provided and overall dimension given. The mounting holes are measured on center. My advice would be to possibly widen the mounting holes and compensate with tight fitting washers.

These brackets are very expensive to buy and hard to find and also have to pay fortune to get it delivered to me. Also over here in Ireland I have to buy the whole console which is over my budget.

I have been looking for them for a good while now. So one of the lads said he will make them for me as he works in this kind of field but only if i can get him the detailed dimensions otherwise he said he cant.

I even bought a connects2 facia panel for 99 civic for 25euro but it doesnt fits as i dont have these brackets. So waiste of money and i have just given up and hence thought if somebody could help me. please dont take me wrong but i have looked everywhere for dimensions but no joy.

Tnx a mil grumblemarc for the above as I can try providing this to me mate n see if he can work with these dimensions.

I dont think the measurements will work without knowing the depth differences of the brackets from the angles or folds in the metal.

So what does it matter to you if that happens? This was the route he chose to take and I thought I'd help out. TBH it's 1000x farther than you've gotten with any of your hairbrained ideas.

It matters to because I guess it doesn't. Its not like you have to be defensive, first you told him how much you charge then you just went and did it, marks being pretty cool guy if you ask me. It's just be better if the other measurements weren't an unknown.

Er what? If the measurements were KNOWN then he wouldn't have had to post asking for measurements would he? Your logic is pretty weak.

there hasn't been pictures posted of them from that perspective. The measurements for the area were known and thanks to you the mounting points are too.

@tony. Shims are, in my opinion, unprofessional.

What can you expect if a piece of metal is not shaped to spec as oem? Do you have a better idea when it comes to something like this? Why bother going this route to begin with when you can find what you need at the junkyard? That something the op needs to think through.

I can expect individuals or corporations to shape metal very closely, but without an example to directly work from it can be damn near impossible.

my idea would be having an aftermarket company produce a slew of em. Anyone who has access to some nice sheet metal presses could do it.

Hah, lame. No imagination.

OP go junkyard diving for them. Prepare to get dirty.

Guys please dont fight I did not wanted to start an argument. Yes I did look several scrapyards. Went in myself to look as the ppl in scrapyard told me that its not worth their time to look and they even told me if I can find the brackets I can have them for free but no luck as all the cars which were there were not jap and the ones which were jap some were with single din and some were not having the climate console
I rang one scrapyard place again and me mate going to go as its near his place and check their tomorrow or on Saturday. They said the same thing come and check yourself as they have one 99 Jap civic and if its their it will be 5euro and I will have to take it out myself. I said thats no bother.

@tony_2018: I'll let u know once me mate comes back to me.

Thanks again guys. Its just frustrating and annoying all because of ****s who tried to rob my car.

Whose fighting? You need to look specifically for the 99-00 civics and nothing else. The 96-98 were all single din with a tape/cd player at the bottom.
