Ever notice that your R's feel A LOT faster at some times then others...
I notice it when I drive my girlfriends civic and then drive my car. It's a hella fast then
If u recall watch JDM's Best motoring video with ITR were debut back in fall of 95,
0-400m were at best 14.7.
And then 98 spec R debut beginning of year at end of winter, both of them ran side by side at 14.2.
Like the accelerations now but hate the creeking noise of chilly dry weather.

Not only does cool air makes it faster, but the sound of the changeover is more pronounced as well.
I drove my Uncles Z06 for a weekend and then got back in the R.
Felt like a damn Honduh
But it was still nice to hear the sweet engine note.

My rear upper strut (mabye it is the plastic mouldings back there) rattle when it is cold. Same thing on my '00 Si.
I was thinking the same thing, my R feels really sluggish at time (so I cheack the fluids like crazy) and other nice and quick. The funny thing it weather seems not to be the issue
it's a lot more pronounced in our high compression low displacement motors.. I dun think heat effects american cars as much cus well they take in liek twice the air we do and don;t really as much on high compression. The R tops out a lot lower in warm weather too... maybe thats why car and driver said the car didn't go past 135..on I-5 mine topped out there but after u cross the hilsl into the cooler bay temps getting 150 is easy.. but yea no more speeding for me.
I think alot of it is just in your head. I notice my car feels very fast on smaller, tighter roads while on big roads it doesn't seem as much. Some days I want my car to do something specific like reach a certain speed within a time period so then I start thinking it's slow. Other days I'm just happy with the feeling. It's a mind game I think, and why the butt dyno sucks.
nah.. dude I was lookign at my speddo and seeing when it stopped lol.. u can notice it especialyl if u live in the bay area.. when it'll be hot in the day and cold and night theres a huge diff.
Sometimes depending on how long the car has sat I have to warm it up more, and warm up the trans a bit more too. Some days, especially when it is very hot and humid (90 degrees and 80%+ humidity), the car feels like it is struggling for air.
I have to say that warming up the car and the transmission properly (a bit longer than a minute) really makes the car feel good.
