find another stock radio and plug it in. May be faulty and worn out. Honestly stock is cool but the sound difference in an upgraded deck and speakers is amazing

Well you can use aftermarket speakers. The deal with a new deck is the output power that it can produce is greater than the oem thus further powering the aftermarket speakers which are also more capable of more power than stock. I believe some systems had a stock amp somewhere in the system. I could certainly be wrong though. I guess you either tilt the scale to one side or the other. I would upgrade everything it does sound great. I'm not sure if the oem deck has an output for an amp or not
