Can anyone help
Asking one last time before I just go at this job. I'm going to replace trans mounts on a 6th gen accord v6 auto and want to know if anyone has done this or know how to. Doesn't seem like it should be all too difficult just need to know where they how and how to get to them.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Trans mount is located on top of the transmission.
You will probably need to lower the trans/engine drivetrain a bit to remove the mount as the studs that bolt the mount to the top are 2-3" tall and may prevent you from easily removing the mount.
What I have done on my F22 car is to remove the front 'stopper' engine mount and bracket, and unbolt/ remove the rear engine mount bracket. Raise the engine up enough to take pressure off the engine mount and loosen the engine mount through bolt. Lower it back down. Raise the transmission up enough to remove the through bolt. And slowly lower the transmission and engine enough to allow removal of the transmission mount from the top of the transmission.

I've never messed with v6 mounts on a Honda but normally you just need to get a jack under the tranny and jack it up enough to take the weight off the through bolt on the mount and then remove it. Then you would let the tranny down enough to allow the mount to come off. Then reverse for installation of new mount. Make sure you put a board of some sort in between the jack and the tranny so you don't crack the tranny case.
